Dear Members, well-wishers and philanthropists,

Vanakkam.

As you are all aware that our Association was started during the year 1939, for the welfare of our community by our forefathers. To make their vision come true subsequent office Bearers toiled so much to bring up our Association as a model and to stand ahead of all sangams/Association in Tamilnadu. Though their strides were slow and steady, they were cautious, but ensured to raise Education Endowments in multifolds besides acquiring a Building on Lloyds Road during 1961 with the donation from various people and well wishers to have a Kalyana Mandapam of our own. The Kalyana Mandapam `Nalvazhvu’ was named by Dr. Mu. Va. and now Nalvazhvu is more or less a land mark in Chennai. The building was slowly improved by built a Marriage hall, Dining hall subsequently, providing false roofing, granite flooring, improved the kitchen by providing new vessels and gas connections to compete with other modern marriage halls at nominal rent to suit the middle income and lower income people. Yet we need few more room for Kalyana Mandapam, space for our office, to develop marriage information service and to provide space for car parking etc.

We received as donation from Late Thiru. M.R. Sethuraman, B.Com, B.L, his house to ourAssociation in the year 11th March 2009. That building is 50 years old situated at No:24, Nowroji Road, Chetpet, Chennai-30 and it has to be dismantled and it has to be newly constructed. It is estimated that the expenses for the construction of the building will be rupees two crores and forty lakhs. We may obtain Bank loan for one crore. The rest of the amount by donation from our members. This subject was already announced in our Special General Body Meeting with unanimous approval. We require finance for the construction.

We humbly request our members / well wishers/ philanthropist to come forward and donate liberally and also request them to canvas and collect donations from their friends and relatives keeping in view a minimum of Rs.5,000/- each as target to the Building Fund of our Association. This generous contribution and collection of will enable us to overcome the present financial constraints to build up a strong association. The donors enable to get 80G exemption.

Nalvazhvu is yours and it is for you to improve, to ensure for better prospects of our children/community.
